Arts and Crafts Volunteers Needed
As part of our micro-enterprise project, we would like to offer participants the opportunity to take additional skill-building workshops. These workshops will provide students with the ability to develop small enterprises from home.
The WEP is in need of volunteers skilled in the following crafts:
Knitting and crochet
Weaving
Spinning
Recycled crafts (i.e. making pop can ornaments)
Soap-making
Tie dye and batik
Rag rug construction
Sewing

Tailoring Class
Women meet at the American Evangelical Lutheran Church, three times a week, to learn tailoring skills. The instructor is also a refugee, who worked as a professional tailor, in Nepal.

Knitting Group
Knitting, crochet, and other fiber arts are known by many Bhutanese women. This group trains new crafters and provides a venue for socialization. The instructor is also a Bhutanese refugee.
